Who We Are
Meals on Wheels at Helping Hands, Orillia is a community-driven program dedicated to providing food and supporting the health, independence, and dignity of seniors and adults in our community. Through the commitment of our staff, volunteers, and trusted partners, we provide reliable and compassionate service that helps individuals remain safely in their homes while staying connected to their community.
What We Do
The Meals on Wheels program delivers nutritious, affordable, and accessible meal options designed to meet a variety of needs across our community. Our services include:
- Hot Meals: Freshly prepared meals delivered directly to clients’ homes, offering both nourishment and a friendly check-in.
- Frozen Meals: Convenient, high-quality frozen meal options that allow clients flexibility while maintaining healthy eating habits.
- Food Security Supports: Enhancing access to nutritious food for individuals who may face barriers due to mobility, isolation, or financial constraints.
We are proud to collaborate with key community partners—including Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH), and The Sharing Place Food Centre—to ensure our program meets the highest standards of care, safety, and community impact
